Happy (belated) July 4th!

As many of you know, we had a relatively quiet July 4
weekend after the whirlwind visit from Tracy and friends
the weekend before. Although we didn't get any photos to
prove it, four of Dennis' extended family members visited
as well that same weekend. Needless to say, we didn't make
any plans for the Fourth. We started the weekend with some
play time in the backyard (play video)...


...but at the last minute, we decided to head out to
Destiny's Retreat. Many of you know our friends Ron
and Shauna...Destiny's Retreat is Shauna's parents' home
near Rainier, Wash. (about 100 miles south of LFP).

When we arrived, Benton and Reese quickly got reacquainted.
She's got all the moves...


...that make Benton blush.


Then Mama introduced Benton to the kiddie pool.
This was Benton's first adventure in a pool, so we
weren't sure how, or even if, he'd like it.


Benton was a bit timid at first--the water was much
colder than his bithy-bath--but look at him sitting up!


Then he started to relax...on Dada!


Mom joined in the family fun as well. Look at that
smile on B!


Here Tam's "watering" Benton so he can continue
growing big and strong. Benton is fascinated by the
water. He also learned to splash for the first time.
Baths haven't been the same since!


Soon it was time to get out of the pool and dry off
all the parts.


Benton thought he'd air out even better if he
sat in the sun at the kiddie picnic table!


We didn't get any shots of the fireworks but Benton
loved them. Happy July 4th, everyone!
